Pablo Garibay is a Mexican guitarist acclaimed both nationally and internationally. He has won first prizes in more than fifteen major competitions, including the Francisco Tárrega and Julián Arcas competitions in Spain, the René Bartoli competition in France, the Manuel M. Ponce competition in Mexico, the JoAnn Falletta competition in the United States, as well as the International Competitions of Gevelsberg and Aachen in Germany. Garibay is regarded as one of the most outstanding instrumentalists of his generation.
He completed his studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany. His exceptional academic performance earned him the Gabino Barreda Medal for University Merit, awarded by UNAM. He was also honored with the National Youth Award, presented by the President of Mexico in 2002.

Ponce’s Concierto del Sur.
